What is the regular maintenance for a SoftSwim pool?
Weekly:
Test your SoftSwim® B residual and the pH. Adjust as needed to maintain a SoftSwim® B level of 30 - 50 ppm and a pH of 7.4 - 7.8.
If desired, add 1 lb. of Oxysheen® per 10,000 gallons.
Add 0.5 oz. of SoftSwim® A per 10,000 gallons directly to the pool with the pump running.
Once a month:
Add 1 gallon of SoftSwim® C per 10,000 gallons directly to the pool with the pump running. Maintain 40 - 60 ppm SoftSwim® C at all times. More frequent applications may be needed with warmer water temperatures, heavy bather loads or heavy rain.
Add half a quart of SoftSwim® Stain Control directly to the pool with the pump running. This helps prevent possible staining or discoloration and depletion of SoftSwim® C from trace minerals or other compounds that might not show up in testing.
Perform complete water analysis and balance according to ALEX recommendations.
Every six weeks:
Clean the filter with SoftSwim® Filter Cleaner according to label instructions for your filter type and size.
As needed:
Brush and vacuum the pool and empty the skimmer and pump baskets.
Backwash the filter.
