How do you open a Mineral Springs pool?
-
Perform a complete water analysis and balance according to ALEX recommendations. Perform the Minerals test to determine how much Mineral Springs Beginnings is needed to start up. Mineral Springs Beginnings is only lost through backwashing, splashout and other methods of physical water loss. If the pool was partially drained for winterizing, it will be necessary to boost your mineral level up to 3,000 ppm.
-
Backwash and clean filter with BioGuard Strip Kwik if the filter was not chemically cleaned before winterizing.
-
Use Mineral Springs Cell Cleaner if it was not used before winterizing.
-
Add 1 lb. of Super Soluble per 10,000 gallons to establish an initial free chlorine residual of 1 - 4 ppm.
-
Begin regular maintenance with Mineral Springs by following up with 1 lb. of Mineral Springs Renewal per 5,000 gallons the following week.
